Army selects SAIC for human resources IT support

MCLEAN, Va., March 18 (UPI) -- SAIC says it is to provide full lifecycle information technology support to the U.S. Army Human Resources Command under a single-award task order.

Services will cover maintenance, enhancement and development support for systems, programs, applications, and databases necessary for managing the Army's personnel. Included will be development, sustainment, and integration of systems, services, and applications for the Army Human Resources Command, Army Recruiting Command; Army Cadet Command and Army Reserve and National Guard soldiers, veterans and families.

"We are pleased to continue and expand our current support to this critical program as they meet the challenges of transformation and soldier service," said John Gully, senior vice president and general manager of the Army and Air Force Customer Group of Science Applications International Corporation.

The task order has a one-year base period of performance with two one-year options. Its value, if all options are exercised, is $221 million, SAIC said.

Work will primarily be performed at Fort Knox, Ky.
