ROME, March 14 (UPI) -- European technology firm Selex ES has created new entities in the United States and Germany to strengthen its subsidiary network.
The new company in the United States is Selex ES Inc., which merges former U.S. subsidiaries SELEX Systems Integration Inc., SELEX Communications Inc. and Elsag North America LLC.
In Germany, the new company is Selex ES GmbH. The new company combines the former SELEX Systems Integration GmbH, which produces meteorological radar, and communications company SELEX Communications GmbH.
"The strategic rationale for these two mergers is to continue Selex ES's development of a strong international network of subsidiaries delivering reliable financial returns, while at the same time creating a firm foundation and presence in key markets," Selex ES said. "The creation of a strong international network of subsidiaries is a key component and a critical success factor in the growth strategy of Selex ES."
Selex ES' main operations are in Italy and Britain.
