CHANTILLY, Va., March 12 (UPI) -- An Engility Holdings subsidiary is to provide research and development services to the U.S. Army's Space and Terrestrial Communications Directorate.
The technical, administrative, and operations support services contract is worth $497 million and was awarded to Dynamics Research Corporation, one of eight prime contractors given the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award.
Dynamics Research Corporation, which had bid on the contract last year, became a wholly owned Engility subsidiary in January.
Under the terms of the contract, Engility will lead a team of 21 companies that will support secure wireless military communications and network technologies. The team will also provide research and development, engineering, logistics and business operations support for the S&TCD.
S&TCD is part of the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center, whose mission is to develop and integrate C4ISR -- command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance -- technologies for information dominance.
The contract has a three-year period of performance with two option years.
