DynCorp wins subcontract for USAF work

MCLEAN, Va., March 6 (UPI) -- DynCorp International was named a subcontractor to APRO International Inc. to provide Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratories support to the U.S. Air Force.

The selection was made by the U.S. Air Force for its PMEL indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity enterprise contract.

DynCorp said that it and APRO were also awarded a task order to provide PMEL support at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.

"DynCorp International has a long history of supporting calibration labs for the U.S. and foreign customers," said George Krivo, DynLogistics senior vice president, DynCorp International. "This sub-contract allows us to further expand our services to the U.S. Air Force while partnering with an economically disadvantaged woman-owned small business."

DynLogistics is a business unit of DynCorp International.

Under the award, DynCorp will provide management, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform PMEL services.

The subcontract has a one-year base period of performance with four one-year options. Its potential value is $9 million.
