HERNDON, Va., Dec. 13 (UPI) -- The Defense Logistics Agency's Land and Maritime Supply Center has presented a Northrop Grumman support center with an award for excellence.
The Recognition for Excellence Gold Award to Northrop's Post Production Support Center in St. Augustine, Fla., was presented after the facility scored 100 of 100 points on the agency's criteria list.
Northrop's support center provides DLA and Naval Supply Systems Command with airframe spare parts and repair parts for E-2C Hawkeye, EA-6B Prowler, A-10 Thunderbolt and C-2 Greyhound aircraft.
"We were very excited to receive this award as we're keenly focused on meeting our customers' and the warfighters' expectations," said Andy Jessen, Northrop Grumman PPSC program manager. "This award reminds us how important our work is and motivates us to provide the best support for our customers."
Northrop said the DLA recognition covers the January 2012 to January 2013 time frame.
"This award recognizes our team as a leader in post-production support logistics," said Jessen. "We have highly experienced and dedicated professionals who are mission focused and truly appreciate this award."
