PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Chromalloy, a supplier of gas turbine engine component repairs, has acquired the Trac Group, boosting its engine supply chain business.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Chromalloy supplies castings, advanced repairs, coatings and other aftermarket services for turbine airfoils and other critical engine components used by engine manufacturers and operators in commercial aerospace, defense, and the energy industry. Trac is a manufacturer of high- and low-pressure turbine components, such as blades, segments and vanes.
"Chromalloy's acquisition of Trac Group is in line with our strategy to increase our support for the new engine supply chain," said Carlo Luzzatto, president of Chromalloy. "Chromalloy and Trac, both industry leaders, together offer the original equipment manufacturers a global source of component production and repair."
Under the acquisition arrangement, the Trac Group will continue to operate under its current name but refer to itself as a Chromalloy company.
Joining Chromalloy is "a win-win for the equipment manufacturers, which demand innovation, quality and performance both in the supply chain and the aftermarket," said Terry Russett, The Trac Group's managing director.
