CACI supporting military's counter-IED efforts

ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 13 (UPI) -- CACI International will help U.S. troops find and disrupt improvised explosive devices under a $28 million contract, a company official said.

"Assisting our military in protecting the U.S. Armed Forces is one of CACI's highest priorities, and our award of the Joint Expeditionary Team contract enables us to continue that support for U.S. combat units all over the world," said John Mengucci, CACI's chief operating officer and president of its U.S. operations.

"CACI offers deep functional expertise and a rigorous selection process that provides the highly skilled professionals necessary to deliver this exceptional level of advisory service."

The contract has a six-month base period of performance with two one-year options.

Joint Expeditionary Team advisers help military units conducting offensive operations to find, disrupt, and defeat IED networks, the company said.
