Companies partner to market signature verification system

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 5 (UPI) -- A strategic alliance has been announced by Guardtime and Modern Technology Solutions Inc. to deliver Keyless Signature Infrastructure software and solutions.

The targets for the information assurance technology are the U.S. defense and intelligence communities.

Keyless Signature Infrastructure is a "digital signature/timestamp system for electronic data. The term "keyless" denotes that the signatures can be reliably verified without assuming secrecy of cryptographic keys," according to Guardtime, which says it invented the system.

Guardtime said its collaboration with MTSI, a neutral systems engineering company supporting specialized Department of Defense and intelligence community needs, creates an agile KSI solution provider to ensure effective integration of KSI for classified U.S. programs.

"MTSI's long history of designing and implementing solutions based on their intimate understanding of classified program requirements, makes them our natural choice as the Guardtime partner which will exclusively train and certify the defense industry prime contractors, DOD and IC systems integrators along with their professional services partners to build KSI-enabled information assurance solutions," said Mike Gault, Guardtime's chief executive officer.

Added Kevin Robinson, president of MTSI, said his firm's role "as a trusted third party supporting critical U.S. government activities, coupled with our expertise in software and systems engineering, integration and product development, makes our alliance with Guardtime a great strategic fit."
