MCLEAN, Va., Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Booz Allen Hamilton said Friday it has won a U.S. Navy contract to for support for cybersecurity and C4ISR operations.
The scope of the contract covers full system lifecycle support, including research, development, testing, evaluation, production and fielding of C4ISR (command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance) information technology systems.
Other details of the work, however, were not disclosed.
"Innovation and adaptability lead the next chapter of cybersecurity, which means it's absolutely vital that we leverage our technical and engineering expertise to help SSC Atlantic meet the challenges of the 21st century," said Rene Castro, senior vice president of Booz Allen Hamilton. "We are eager, along with our large and small business partners on the contract, to advance SSC Atlantic's objectives with the most innovative, tailored cyber-security and C4ISR solutions."
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has an initial one-year period of performance, with four one-year options. It has a ceiling value of nearly $900 million.
The company said the award was the fourth Full and Open Pillar contract it has received from the Navy.
