Raytheon announces new HQs of business units

WALTHAM, Mass., May 2 (UPI) -- Two of Raytheon's four businesses are changing the locations of their headquarters in line with an ongoing streamlining strategy.

The company's newly formed Intelligence, Information and Services business will be based at the company's hub of operations in Sterling, Va., near Dulles International Airport and Washington.

IIS provides a full range of ISR, navigation, weather, cybersecurity, training, logistics, mission support and engineering solutions for the intelligence community, government and commercial customers.

Raytheon's Space and Airborne Systems business headquarters, currently in El Segundo, Calif., will move to McKinney, Texas, near Dallas.

The company said SAS will maintain business operations in California and elsewhere.

Raytheon's Space and Airborne Systems business builds radars and other sensors for aircraft, spacecraft and ships, communications systems and electronic warfare solutions.

The remaining business units -- Integrated Defense Systems and Missile Systems – will remain in their current locations.

Raytheon in March announced a streamlining of operations to enhance productivity and better meet customer needs.
