LOS ANGELES, March 6 (UPI) -- Raytheon has entered into two mentor-protege agreements to help small businesses develop knowledge and competencies toward gaining U.S. government work.
The companies involved are ISYS Technologies, a woman-owned information technology and engineering company in Colorado; and Equipment Links Inc., a veteran-owned business that has headquarters in Nevada and which provides asset management solutions.
"Raytheon is committed to offering maximum opportunities for small and disadvantaged businesses to contribute and succeed within our key customer programs," said Sylvia Courtney, Raytheon's Intelligence and Information Systems vice president of Supply Chain.
"Teaming with small businesses has been a successful strategy for us, one that allows Raytheon to provide our customers with the best value products and services available."
The mentor-protege agreement with ISYS Technologies is for two years and is sponsored by the U.S. Air Force. Raytheon said that under the program ISYS Technologies will leverage Raytheon's expertise and resources to improve its cyber capabilities and will work with Raytheon to on cybersecurity solutions for the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Air Force.
The mentor-protege deal with Equipment Links comes under Raytheon's IIS Supplier Diversity program. Under the arrangement, Equipment Links will help establish efficiency-driven reliability centered maintenance processes across Raytheon's customer programs for U.S. military and civilian federal organizations.
