CACI joins Navy support team

ARLINGTON, Va., Jan. 14 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy has added CACI International Inc. to its list of prime contractors to provide support for battlespace awareness services.

The contract, from the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity vehicle with a term of five years. Its value for the seven prime contractors is a total of $899 million.

"The U.S. Navy continues to be a valued customer and we are pleased that SSC Atlantic has chosen CACI to provide these important services," said John Mengucci, CACI's chief operating officer and president of U.S. Operations. "We will leverage our proven expertise in tactical intelligence systems and services as well as quick reaction capability solutions to help the Navy meet its critical requirements."

Under the award, CACI will be eligible to provide SSC Atlantic with support services such as development, integration, and testing of intelligence, battlespace awareness, and information operations applications and hardware in relation to signals intelligence.

CACI said the contract positions the company for continued growth in the C4ISR market.
