SAIC supports Air Force Sensor Directorate

MCLEAN, Va., Dec. 7 (UPI) -- Operations and maintenance support services for the Sensors Directorate of the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory are to be provided by SAIC.

The single-award contract is a cost-plus-fee arrangement for one year and is worth about $74 million

Science Applications International Corp, said the contract includes O&M Blue Devil Block 1, Outside the Continental United States services.

Blue Devil is a follow-on program to the Angel Fire electro-optical sensor operational program and is transitioning from a test and evaluation program to an O&M mission support program.

SAIC said its services that under the award, it will support deployed warfighters with an advanced multi-intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance sensor system. Work will also include airfield and flight operations, mission payload O&M, and the processing, exploitation and dissemination of intelligence products.

"We look forward to continuing to provide the AFRL with Blue Devil operations and maintenance services in support of warfighter missions worldwide," said John Fratamico, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.
