Jordan orders more Falcon radios

MELBOURNE, Fla., July 19 (UPI) -- The Kingdom of Jordan has ordered tactical radios from the Harris Corp. as part of its program to modernize the country's C4ISR system.

Under the $30 million order, Harris will supply radio systems from its Falcon II and Falcon III product line of handheld and vehicular communications systems.

The order, Harris said, is a follow-on to a $26 million order received from Jordan in February.

C4ISR is an acronym for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance.

"Harris is delivering tactical C4ISR solutions to our customers around the world with systems that address the widest range of mission applications,'' said Brendan O'Connell, president, International Business, Harris RF Communications.

"Our products, systems and support are leading the transformation of tactical communications globally.''
