"We're proud to deliver another C-17 that strengthens the U.A.E. air force and air defense's range and ability to perform critical airlift missions around the globe."

Boeing reported that the first four C-17s ordered were delivered to the United Arab Emirates last year. The fifth aircraft was delivered in May.

The C-17 Globemaster III has a payload of 164,900 pounds, a range of 2,400 nautical miles and takeoff and land on airstrips measuring 3,000 feet or less.
