INDIANAPOLIS, May 14 (UPI) -- Engine-maker Rolls-Royce announced in the United States that it completed worldwide agreements for maintenance of its T56 engines.
The T56, which powers aircraft such as the U.S. military's C-130 and P-3 Orion aircraft, will be serviced under the new agreement by nine companies as part of its Authorized Maintenance Centers.
The companies are Canada's Standard Aero; Samsung Techwin of South Korea; Vector Aerospace of Britain; STA Engines in Singapore, Malaysia's Airod Techno Power (Malaysia); Portugal's OGMA -- Industria Aeronautica de Portugal; and Hellenic Aerospace Industry.
Companies in the United States are Turbopower and Segers Aerospace.
Rolls-Royce noted that its Authorized Maintenance Centers include Rolls-Royce Engine Services in Oakland, Calif., and Rolls-Royce Brazil.
"The global services network demonstrates the continued commitment by Rolls-Royce to provide customers with the highest standard of support," said Paul Craig, president of Rolls-Royce Defense Services.
"Wherever T56 operators are around the world, they can find a Rolls-Royce Authorized Maintenance Center to provide the quality engine support they need to enable them to deliver their missions."
