MCLEAN, Va., Dec. 1 (UPI) -- SAIC is providing the U.S. Navy with tactical data link engineering and technical support under a contract with a potential value of $42 million.
The contract by the Navy's Program Executive Office to support the Command and Control Program Office for C4I has a one-year performance base period with four one-year options.
PEO C4I -- or Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence -- acquires, fields and supports C4I systems across multiple Navy, Marine Corps, joint and coalition platforms. This includes managing acquisition programs and projects that cover all C4I disciplines: applications, networks, communications, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems.
Under the contract, SAIC will provide TDL systems engineering in support of the development, testing and certification of new capabilities. The company will also provide fielding management services in support of interoperability.
