INSCOM approves Lockheed Martin

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 13 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command has approved a Lockheed Martin team to compete for future task orders, the company announced.

Under the INSCOM OMNIBUS-III contracting vehicle, Lockheed will have the opportunity to provide detailed analysis of critical threats to national security and integrate cybersecurity paradigms.

"Lockheed Martin is thrilled to be selected by INSCOM," said Bob Kramer, Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Services-Defense's vice president for Operational Systems & Services. "The team is positioned to deliver innovative solutions and analytic subject matter expertise in support of Army intelligence missions."

OMNIBUS-III is a multiple award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract established by INSCOM to create the procurement framework for delivering dedicated intelligence and technical support to the command and its major subordinate commands.

The Lockheed Martin-led team, one of six companies selected, will compete for future task orders. The totaled task orders have a contract ceiling of $492 million over five years.

Additional contract specifics weren't disclosed.
