FMV previously contracted Sectra to develop a next-generation of its Tiger technology to provide authorities using its tactical radio systems with secured communications capabilities protected from eavesdropping.

"Demand for easy-to-use crypto products is considerable and Sweden is at the leading edge of development in terms of products for the protection of communications from eavesdropping," Michael Bertilsson, Sectra Communications president, said in a statement.

"Sectra has been delivering crypto products to the Swedish defense forces since the 1980s and this successful cooperation is continuing."
