NEW YORK, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- U.S. company Prescient Group announced the launch of a new video surveillance technology designed for a proactive approach to security.

Prescient Group has released the iSentry artificial intelligence-based video surveillance system at the 15th World Congress of Intelligent Transport Systems convention in New York taking place at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.

The iSentry surveillance system, capable of being integrated with existing closed-circuit television infrastructure, is designed to learn a pattern of normal behaviors in order to later identify any suspicious behavior in a proactive security approach. Company officials say the iSentry recognized up to 95 percent of normal motion patterns.

"The iSentry advanced intelligence-based technology works to protect business and industry from multiple harm and security concerns," Kendall Chen, Prescient Group chairman, said in a statement.
