Raytheon launches new VECTOR system

TEWKSBURY, Mass., Sept. 18 (UPI) -- U.S. company Raytheon Solipsys announced the release of a new virtual training technology for surveillance and air traffic management applications.

Raytheon has released its new Virtual Environment for Collaborative Training and Operational Readiness technology. The VECTOR system, fully interoperable with all Raytheon software, is a new simulation and training tool.

Company officials say the VECTOR system offers a realistic virtual training for applications in surveillance and air traffic management, among others.

"VECTOR provides the user with a simplified operator interface to create real-world scenarios in a matter of minutes," Mark Trenor, Raytheon Solipsys president, said in a statement.

"With VECTOR, the user can design coordinated simulations at both tactical and strategic levels."
