Saudis said to draft human rights laws

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Oct. 23 (UPI) -- U.N. Human Rights Commissioner Baram Kumar Asuami said Wednesday Saudi Arabia was drafting laws to safeguard human rights. The daily Al-Riyadh reported that Asuami said talks with Saudi officials centered on human rights, judicial independence and how to implement justice. Saudi justice is governed by Islamic law.
