Bush, Putin sign historic arms pact

MOSCOW, May 24 (UPI) -- U.S. President George W. Bush and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday signed the most sweeping nuclear arms reduction pact in history. They erased what Bush has termed "the last vestiges of the Cold War," ushering in a new era in the relations of the two countries.
