TEL AVIV, Israel, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- The Tel Aviv District Court on Monday convicted an Australian citizen, Mark Idan, 37, of offering to spy for Iran. The Iranians rejected his offer, but the law governing an attempt to be in contact with a foreign agency does not differentiate between a successful and an unsuccessful attempt.
