QOM, Iran, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Natural gas is flowing through Iran and to its customers in Turkey following a series of explosions last week, the country's deputy oil minister announced.

Explosions ripped through natural gas pipelines Friday near the holy city of Qom as Iranians marked the 32nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of 1979.

Iranian energy authorities said emergency workers from the National Iranian Gas company arrived at the site of the explosion to route gas deliveries around the damaged area, the Oil Ministry's Petroenergy Information Network reports.

Iranian consumers get about 9 billion cubic feet of gas per day from the pipeline network near Qom.

Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Javad Oji was quoted as saying pipeline repairs were completed during the weekend, noting exports weren't affected by the disruption.

Tehran gave no cause for the explosion.
