The Georgian Oil and Gas Corp., an operator of the North Caucasus-Transcaucasion pipeline, said the Gadauri-Kobi leg of the pipeline was damaged, causing regional disruptions to Russian gas transits.

Russian energy giant Gazprom said regional gas supplies weren't affected because of reserve supplies in underground storage facilities, Russian news agency ITAR-Tass reports.

The Georgian gas company said supplies should resume through the pipeline within three days.
