DEARBORN, Mich., Aug. 4 (UPI) -- The Ford Motor Co. on Thursday announced a recall involving nearly 830,000 of its vehicles due to a defective latch that may cause the door to swing open while the car is in motion.
The recall affects about 828,000 vehicles sold in North America, the company said. The problem is a defective spring tab in a side-door latch that may prevent the door from fully closing.
