WASHINGTON, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Burger King's attempt to one-up Wendy's in a war of value on Twitter ended with the latter restaurant getting burned -- flame broiled, even.
The feud began with a tweet from Wendy's promoting its "4 for $4" meal with a photo of the food included in the deal.
"The 4 for $4 Meal: a trayful of mouth-filling glory," the tweet read.
Burger King responded with a photo of its "5 for $4" meal and a vague swipe at its competitor.

"5 for $4, because 5 is better than 4," Burger King tweeted.
The Twitter beef came to a close when a Twitter user prodded Wendy's to reveal: "What are you firing back?"
Wendy's response was as savage as it was terse: "Edible food."
