SEATTLE, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Retailer giant Amazon.com is offering a new discount to gamers who subscribe to its Prime service.
Announced on Tuesday, Amazon Prime subscribers will receive a 20 percent discount on new video games pre-ordered through the site or purchased within the first two weeks of release.
The discount will also work on more expensive, limited-edition versions of games but will not bring down the price of any gaming console such as Sony's Playstation 4 or Microsoft's Xbox One. The savings can also only be applied to physical copies of the game's and not toward digital download codes.
The deal joins the growing list of benefits for Prime subscribers including access to Amazon's video and music streaming services and free two-day shipping on all orders for $99 a year for new subscribers.
Best Buy has a similar deal, Gamers Club Unlocked, which offers a 20 percent discount on any video games sold in the store or online for $30 every two years.
