CUPERTINO, Calif., Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Apple has been known to carefully and purposefully leak information about their products ahead of their roll outs but Wednesday's premature revelation was apparently accidental.

The iOS 8 user guide in the iTunes store surprised many Wednesday with a sneak peek at the iPad Air 2 and mini iPad 3 ahead of Thursday's Apple event and suspected unveiling.

The user guide, prior to alteration, revealed the new fingerprint scanner and the "burst mode" meant to take rapid fire pictures, reports 9to5 Mac.

The tablets were expected to be unveiled at a press event Thursday, not long after the roll out of the iPhone 6. In addition to the tablets, Apple is also expected to display a new line of Macs.

The event will take place Thursday in the Town Hall Auditorium on Apple's campus in Cupertino.
