Pinkberry co-founder facing prison for beating homeless man

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Pinkberry co-founder Young Lee faces up to seven years in prison when he is sentenced in January for clubbing a homeless man with a tire iron.

Lee, 49, who is no longer involved with the upscale frozen dessert restaurant franchising company he helped start eight years ago, was convicted by a Los Angeles County Superior Court jury Friday in the attack on Donald Bolding

Lee is being held without bail until his sentencing after Judge Henry Hall determined he is a "significant threat to the community" because he threatened a witness in his trial, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Authorities said Lee attacked Bolding in June 2011 after the homeless man flashed a tattoo of a stick figure couple having sex to the people in Lee's car, which included his fiancee.
