CHICAGO, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- Grain futures closed mixed Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade with the dollar index off 0.16 percent to 81.11 on the International Exchange.
Corn was up 6 1/4 to up 7 3/4, soybeans were off 1/2 to off 3 1/2, wheat was up 22 1/4 to up 26 1/4 and oats were up 4 to up 5 1/2.
Corn rose in sympathy with wheat and with support from private exporters, who reportedly sold 217,424 metric tons Thursday. Wheat prices jumped on reports that Egypt purchased 475,000 metric tons from Russian sources. Soybean futures were flat in advance of the harvest that should replenish silos and put pressure on prices.

Corn: Sep 7.97 1/4 up 7 1/2, Dec 7.98 1/2 up 7 3/4, Mar 8.01 1/2 up 6 3/4, May 7.97 1/4 up 5 1/4.
Soybeans: Sep 17.44 1/2 off 3 1/2, Nov 17.47 off 1/2, Jan 17.45 3/4 off 1/2, Mar 16.91 1/4 off 3 1/4.
Wheat: Sep 8.72 up 26 1/4, Dec 8.91 3/4 up 24, Mar 9.03 3/4 up 23 1/4, May 9.04 1/4 up 22 1/4.
Oats: Sep 3.86 up 5, Dec 3.91 up 4, Mar 3.91 1/4 up 5 1/2, May 3.90 1/2 up 5 1/4.
