YONKERS, N.Y., Nov. 8 (UPI) -- U.S. product critic Consumer Reports said Apple's iPhone 4S does not show the same reception glitch that its predecessor did in laboratory tests.

Consumer Reports was famously critical of the iPhone 4, saying it lost reception strength if the consumer touched the phone in a certain spot.

For the iPhone 4S, however, testers at the magazine said, "The newer phone did not display the same reception flaw," InformationWeek reported Tuesday.

While it said the iPhone 4S had a better camera and faster processor than the iPhone 4, it preferred phones with the Android operating system.

Ranked above the iPhone 4S was the Samsung Galaxy S II, the Motorola Droid Bionic and the LG Thrill.
