Oil prices ease back Wednesday

NEW YORK, March 9 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices settled lower Wednesday, falling toward $104 per barrel in New York with market sentiment dominated by concern over unrest in the Middle East.

West Texas Intermediate crude on the New York Mercantile Exchange shed 85 cents during the day to reach $104.36 per barrel. Home heating oil prices dropped 0.07 cents to $3.07 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline prices added 0.18 cents to reach $3.029 per gallon. Henry Hub natural gas lost 0.9 cents to $3.921 per million British thermal units.

At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline rose to $3.524 per gallon Wednesday from Tuesday's $3.517, AAA said.
