Crude oil prices dip slightly

NEW YORK, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices ducked under $97 per barrel as Kuwait and Saudi Arabia said they would make up the difference in supply lost due to political unrest in Libya.

April delivery West Texas intermediate crude oil on the New York Mercantile Exchange lost 45 cents Monday to $96.95 per barrel. Henry Hub natural gas prices shed 5 cents to $4.06 per million British thermal units.


Home heating oil lost 0.34 cents Monday to $2.893 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline added 0.03 cents to $2.893 per gallon.

At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline rose to $3.368 per gallon from Sunday's $3.354, AAA said.
