Crude oil prices waver near $91

NEW YORK, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- March contract crude oil futures dropped just under $91 per barrel in New York, with traders keeping an eye on political unrest in Egypt.

The Suez Canal serves as a transportation link for about 2.6 percent of the world's supply of oil and about 4 percent of the global liquefied natural gas supply.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange Thursday, the price of light, sweet crude oil for March delivery shed 37 cents to $90.84 per barrel. Home heating oil prices lost 1.5 cents to $2.7657 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline prices added 0.74 cents to $2.5059 per gallon.

Henry Hub natural gas prices lost 7 cents to $4.359 per million British thermal units.

At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline rose to $3.116 per gallon, up from Wednesday's $3.108, AAA said.
