WASHINGTON, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Heritage Collection 3-in-1 drop-side cribs due to risks of entrapment and injury.
About 34,000 drop-side cribs were imported from Vietnam by Victory Land Group of Bartlett, Ill., and sold exclusively at Kmart stores from February 2007 through October 2008 for about $130.
The company has received 17 reports of the crib's drop-side rails detaching from the cribs. Three infants received injuries after becoming entrapped during the incidents, the commission said in a statement.
The recall involves Heritage Collection 3-in-1 drop-side cribs with Kmart model numbers 07-1248 and 07-1252.
Consumers were advised to stop using the recalled cribs and contact Victory Land Group to receive a free repair kit.
