CHICAGO, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- U.S. company Sears Holdings Corp. said Friday that 100 Ace Hardware stores will begin selling Craftsman brand tools in May.

Hand tools, compressors and vacuums will be among the first products Ace will offer, Crain's Chicago Business reported Friday.

"This is an exciting, strategic move that expands access to Craftsman for existing and new customers," Bruce Johnson, interim chief executive officer and president for Sears Holdings, said in a statement.

The announcement comes on the heels of the company's decision to close eight Sears stores and 13 Kmart stores in underperforming locations.
