WASHINGTON, Sept. 1 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of OfficeMax Task Chairs due to a fall hazard.
About 216,000 chairs imported from China by OfficeMax Inc. of Naperville, Ill., were sold nationwide from September 2003 through July 2008 for between $40 and $65.

The company has received 35 reports of OfficeMax Task Chairs with model numbers OM182 and OM96614 breaking during use. The backs and the back posts of the chairs have broken during use with 15 injuries reported, the commission said.
Consumers were advised to stop using the chairs and contact OfficeMax for a full refund or a $55 gift card.
