Mini collectible racing helmets recalled

WASHINGTON, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the nationwide recall Wednesday of Chinese-made collectible mini helmets due to a health risk.

The CPSC said paint on the approximately 1,400 helmets imported by the Bell Racing Co. of Santa Cruz, Calif., contains excessive levels of lead, in violation of the federal lead paint standard.
