Nicky Hilton sued over hotel project

CHICAGO, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- A Chicago developer has sued heiress socialite Nicky Hilton for breach of contract, claiming she reneged on deals to promote a planned Nicky O Hotel.

Robert Falor Investments alleges Hilton, 23, and her manager, Paul Fisher, promised to promote the redevelopment and rebranding of Chicago's Blake Hotel south of downtown Chicago.

The Chicago Nicky O Hotel and a similar renovation in Miami's South Beach area were touted as Hilton's debut in the family business, although the Nicky O brand would be independent of Hilton Hotels.

Robert Falor claims he subsidized a "lavish" lifestyle for Hilton and Fisher, including a Cadillac Escalade for Fisher, parties for Hilton and her friends and free plasma televisions for both of them, The Miami Herald reported Tuesday.

The suit, which also alleges deceptive business practices, does not seek a specific amount of damages. But it claims Falor paid Hilton and Fisher more than $1 million.

The 94-unit Nicky O South Beach condo hotel is supposed to feature suites by famous designers such as Roberto Cavalli, Nicole Miller, Heatherette and Betsey Johnson.

Fisher and Hilton were not immediately available for comment. The Nicky O South Beach Web site was "down for upgrades" Tuesday.
