LONDON, June 30 (UPI) -- New York's Goldman Sachs and its partners appear to have won the right to buy Associated British Ports, now that an Australian rival has dropped out.
Australia's Macquarie Bank joined Britannia Ports in saying it would not make an offer for ABP, leaving Goldman Sachs' $5.1 billion offer an apparently successful effort, the BBC reported Friday.
