BOMBAY, March 18 (UPI) -- India's entertainment industry could ride the broadband wave to grow to $200 billion in the next 20 years, the head of India's largest conglomerate said.

Reliance Industries Ltd. Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani told a seminar Wednesday: "Broadband will be the wealth creator of this decade and will become the synonym for opportunity, even as it would be a revolutionary and not evolutionary concept."

Ambani said India has the largest digital infrastructure in the world as well as a talent pool in creativity and digital technology.

India's film industry is the largest in the world, producing nearly 1,000 movies a year.

Meanwhile, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Wednesday said it would soon issue final recommendations to encourage broadband and Internet growth in India.
