Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor day-to-day with knee injury

Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor is considered day-to-day with a bruised patellar tendon in his knee, coach Sean McDermott said Monday.

Taylor was injured on the first offensive play of Sunday's 23-3 loss to the New England Patriots. The 28-year-old played through the injury before he was carted to the locker room early in the fourth quarter.

When asked if Taylor would play for the Bills (6-6) against the visiting Indianapolis Colts (3-9) on Sunday, McDermott said, "When healthy, Tyrod is our quarterback."

Taylor completed nine of 18 passes for 65 yards, but threw a costly interception in the red zone on Buffalo's first drive of the game.

He has thrown for 2,090 yards with 12 touchdowns and four interceptions in 12 games this season.

Taylor was replaced on Sunday by rookie Nathan Peterman, who completed 6 of 15 passes for 50 yards. Peterman threw five interceptions on just 14 pass attempts in the first half of his lone start -- a 54-24 setback to the Los Angeles Chargers on Nov. 19.
