Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Chicago Bears tackle Charles Leno Jr. proposed to this girlfriend on the field after a win against the Green Bay Packers.

Leno popped the question following the Bears' 24-17 victory -- which clinched the NFC North -- on Sunday at Solider Field in Chicago. He waited at midfield as Jennifer Roth walked out to meet him. He then went down to one knee and held open a jewerely box

"Jennifer Marie Roth, would you love to be Jennifer Marie Leno Jr.?" Leno asked.

After getting a "yes," the two embraced. Leno then slid the ring on and was mobbed by his teammates. The offensive lineman did not reveal where he hid the ring during the game.

"It was coming soon, but once I found out we could clinch this week, and I was like, 'I have to speed things up. I have to speed up the process.' I kind of planned it earlier in the week," Leno told reporters.

Leno, 27, is in his fifth season. He was a seventh round pick by the Bears in the 2014 NFL Draft and has started on the offensive line for the Bears for every game over the last three seasons.

"If you couldn't tell by the first play of the game & my proposal speech, I was shook today. Thank you for all the love and support," Leno tweeted.
