'Bachelor in Paradise' alum Ashley Iaconetti dating Jared Haibon

May 23 (UPI) -- Bachelor in Paradise alum Ashley Iaconetti is dating her former co-star Jared Haibon.

Iaconetti, 30, and Haibon, 29, confirmed they're in a relationship three years after meeting in Season 2 of the ABC reality series.

"This love was worth the wait," Iaconetti tweeted Tuesday after announcing the news in an episode of her The Story of Us web series.

Iaconetti said on The Story of Us that she fell in love with Haibon at first sight during Bachelor in Paradise Season 2. Haibon also felt an initial attraction, but developed feelings for Iaconetti over time.

"I never felt like it was over between us after Paradise," he said. "I'm not gonna lie and say that I was in love with Ashley during BiP. It was a slow build for me."

Iaconetti and Haibon returned to star in Season 3, and maintained a friendship after the show. The pair reconnected in January after filming Bachelor Winter Games and Bachelor in Paradise Australia, respectively.

"He tells me every day that he's the luckiest man alive," Iaconetti gushed.

Iaconetti and Haibon dedicated sweet posts to each other Tuesday on Instagram.

"I love my boyfriend," Iaconetti captioned a photo with Haibon, adding a heart emoji.

"I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible," Haibon said on his own account, quoting a line from When Harry Met Sally.
