SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Apple Computer of California introduced its next generation iPod music player, which can store as many as 25,000 wallet-size digital pictures.
Priced at $$@$!499 and $$@$!599, the new iPod Photo can display the images on a television via a cable. It comes with 40-gigabytes or 60-gigabytes disk storage, capable of storing up to 15,000 songs, the New York Times reports.
Although there are a growing number of competitors in the digital music business, Chairman Steve Jobs exuded confidence Apple can continue to dominate the market. Apple sold 2 million iPods during the most recent quarter.
"The iPod has become a cultural phenomenon," Jobs said.
