LONDON, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Singer Donny Osmond is in the British Top 10 with "Breeze On By," the 1970s teen heartthrob's first solo hit single in 30 years.
Osmond's song debuted at No. 8 on the singles chart, Britain's Mirror reported Monday.
The singer's previous solo Top 10 single was "When I Fall In Love," released in 1973.
Osmond and his siblings, The Osmond Brothers, were big stars throughout the 1970s, with Donny and sister Marie co-hosting a popular U.S. variety show, "The Donny and Marie Show," in the late '70s.
Donny Osmond's success began to wain after the series was canceled in 1979.
The singer has performed on Broadway and released several albums during the past 20 years. His last radio hit was "Soldier of Love," which peaked at No. 29 in 1988.
