ASKIM, Norway, April 26 (UPI) -- A Norweigian teenager dressed as a mummy was run over and killed while lying on a busy highway in Askim, it was reported Monday.
His two companions, who were recording the stunt Sunday evening, now face criminal charges, Aftenposten reported Monday.
The trio of actors for a Swedish children's theater were on their way home to Oslo and had stopped in Askim to rest, the newspaper said.
The 18-year-old victim donned one of their costumes and stretched out on the highway and asked his friends to film the stunt.
One car reportedly swerved around him, but a car right behind could not stop and ran him over, killing him instantly, police said.
The entire incident was captured on tape. Police said the victims' companions most likely will be charged with endangering the lives of the victim and motorists.
Police speculated the three were motivated by the MTV stunt show, "Jackass."
