Beer maker lists alien abduction hotspots

LONDON, April 8 (UPI) -- A German beer manufacturer has sponsored the publication of the 40 best spots to be abducted by aliens in Britain, The Sun reported Thursday.

The author of "How to be Abducted by Aliens" is Nick Pope, who ran the Ministry of Defense's UFO desk from 1991 to 1994.

The top spot for abduction claims is Bonnybridge in Lanarkshire where locals have called for the town tobe twinned with Roswell, N.M., famed for its alleged involvement with a crashed alien spacecraft in 1947.

But the report said aliens do not just stick to the countryside, as locations in both east and south London made the list.

As many as 40,000 Britons and 4 million Americans claim to have been kidnapped by visitors from another planet, the newspaper said.

The release of the booklet coincides with a television advertising campaign for Grolsch beer showing aliens attempting to take up a human.
